Blue Flag flying on a beach

More than 100 Blue Flags will fly this summer on the coasts of the Spanish Levante, beating a new record in the history of this prestigious award

With the arrival of summer, the beaches of Alicante and Murcia are preparing to welcome thousands of tourists eager to enjoy the sun, sea and sand. However, not all beaches are the same, and those looking for the perfect combination of natural beauty, environmental quality and top-quality services will find the coasts of south-eastern Spain an ideal destination for an unforgettable holiday.

What are blue flags?

Blue Flags are a globally recognised award given to beaches, marinas and tourist boats that meet a series of strict criteria related to water quality, environmental management, safety and services offered. These flags are not only a symbol of prestige, but also an indisputable testimony to the commitment of local authorities and tourism entrepreneurs to the preservation and care of the natural beauty of the marine environment.

This summer, a total of 120 Blue Flags will be proudly displayed in the most outstanding places along the coast of Alicante and Murcia, giving visitors the peace of mind of knowing that they are enjoying a safe, clean and responsibly managed coastal environment. Below, Munfort offers you a completely updated list of the beaches -from Torrevieja to Cartagena- awarded with this Blue Flag in 2024.
